Teddy Hart 07-30-2013
Only One Road Leads To Gold: 003
After Smackdown:
An infuriated Teddy is in the locker room trying to calm down after the loss. Trying to calm down isn’t working for him though especially without Kristen there to help him. He tried counting to ten but ended up throwing a chair against a wall before he got to five. Before he realized what was going on he had made his way out into the hallway and was looking for William Regal.
Teddy walked up and down the hallways asking people if they had seen William Regal anywhere. Finally a response came that led Teddy in the right direction. Tedded continued up the long hallway until he finally reached William Regal who looked like he wasn’t in the best of moods himself. Teddy walked up to him gaining his attention immediately as Teddy was almost right in his face.
Teddy Hart: Are you actually going to let what happened out there stand?! Are you so caught up in your own little world having your own matches that you don’t know how to be a General Manager?
William Regal who was tolerating the existence of Teddy Hart at first was now annoyed at the way he was being spoken to and it was showing on his face. He glared over toward Teddy Hart before responding.
William Regal: First off young man, watch your tongue when you are talking to me. You will show me the respect that I deserve as the General Manager of Smackdown! and as someone who has been in this sport longer than you have been born. And as for you match, from what I saw, the only that happened was that you and Dolph couldn’t keep up and lost the match.
Teddy Hart: I think I have watched my mouth around here a little too much. You see, Mr. Regal, I have won every match I have been in on Smackdown! since I arrived until last night. You see, someone like me isn’t meant to be stuck in match with someone else. I am a single’s star and if you put me in a match one-on-one with anyone in that match you and I both now that not only will I win that match, but I out outshine them too!
William Regal: Mr. Hart, the only thing you are showing me right now is that you know how to run your mouth better than anyone else does on Smackdown! And since you said you are so keen on tag team matches, I guess I should let you know that you will be in another tag team match next week on Smackdown! Don’t worry about who you will be teaming with or who you will be facing. That will be revealed in do time.
Teddy Hart: This isn’t over Regal. You are messing with the wrong person. I am Teddy Hart and you will not be able to keep me from the World Title for very long. I am the best talent here on Smackdown! and I will get what I deserve!
William Regal: That is all well and good Mr. Hart. If you think you are that good then you should have no problem proving it. Now if you would please leave my presence I have more important matters to deal.
Teddy shakes his head at William Regal and turns to walk away seeing now that there is no dealing with him. If Regal wants him to prove just how good he is there is only one thing he could do, makes sure he destroys all the talent on Smackdown! until there was no one left but himself for the chance at the title.
Getting to the Hart of the Matter: 001
Teddy stretched out on the bed in the hotel room not used to having an entire bed to himself anymore. Kristen was back home in Edmonton taking care of some of the plans for the wedding for the week. Teddy haddn’t wanted to let her go and be alone at the ring this week. It was the first week he’d be alone in a ring since she had become his manager and really the first week they had spent apart since they had been together. He let a breath escape him as he began to relax and started to close his eyes and get a short nap in before he began his training today. Teddy slept for hours but when he woke up it seemed like it hadn’t slept that long.
Teddy stretched out his muscles and swung his legs over the bed sitting up. He looked over at the clock and realized that he had overslept. He was surprised when he looked over at his phone and hadn’t heard anything from Kristen yet. He knew he shouldn’t be worried since she would be with her family. Whenever she was with them she was always busy. He pondered for a moment if he should call her. It wasn’t a hard decision. He picked up the phone and dialed her number. It only took a few rings before she answered the phone.
Kristen Mellissa: Hey Teddy, what’s up?
Teddy Hart: I just woke up from my nap. I saw that you hadn’t called and I was just wondering how you were doing. I haven’t heard from you since you got back to Edmonton. I was just missing you and wanted to hear your voice.
Kristen Mellissa: That’s great hun. I miss you too. But I really can’t talk, I am busy.
Teddy Hart: I figured you would be, but I still wanted to talk with you.
Kristen Mellissa: Well right now I’m working on this wedding. Since you weren’t wanting to help get it ready I had to have some time to work on it myself.
Teddy Hart: I know, and I’m sorry.
Kristen Mellissa: Being sorry doesn’t help the wedding get done does it? You are just going to have to deal with me being gone for a week. Who knows, maybe two weeks. I may need a vacation from the wedding plans after I’m done. Not to mention I think it’ll do us some good to be a part for a little bit, since I am the distraction after all.
Teddy Hart: I thought we were okay about that? You know that I didn’t…
Before Teddy could finish the sentence he heard a buzzing sound on the other end of the phone. He took the phone away from his ear and looked at it. He knew that the phone wasn’t disconnected and that Kristen had hung up. He thought about calling her back but realized that probably wasn’t the best idea. When Kristen was mad there was no calming her down. That was one thing he had learned from the past few years.
Teddy stood up from the bed and began to dress for the gym wondering what he could do for Kristen to prove to her that she wasn’t a distraction to him. He realized he had said the wrong thing in the car and wanted to show her that he was in this wedding 100%. There had to be something he could do. He continued to think and eventually began to get some ideas on how he could show Kristen just how much that she meant to him. For the time being though, a good long work out at the gym would help distract him from what was going on. Teddy closed the door behind him and turned his music up loud to drown out his thoughts.
