Lacey's Angels: Ready to Rumble
Prologue
When you think of the Royal Rumble you think of a list of winners who have turned into legends and World Champions. History speaks for it self when it comes to the winners of the Royal Rumble. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, The Rock, Ric Flair, and the list goes on, all of these men have gone on to Wrestlemania where they made a dream come true and won the championship. Not only that they have gone on to become legends in the industry. To be a winner of the Rumble puts your name in the history books for ever. It can make someone a main event competitor in a night.
In the recent weeks leading to the Royal Rumble John Morrison has been on a winning streak. He has beatin the likes of Christian Cage and his former partner and friend Joey Mercury. In his last match before the Royal Rumble, John was awarded the European Championship. With this kind of winning streak in his and in the mind of most people he is an odds on favorite to win in the Rumble. When you talk to John one thing is for sure, he doesn't lack confidence and he is ready to win this and go on to Wrestlemania and compete for the World Championship.
End Prologue
Scene 1: Interview with the European Champion
The scene opens up in the backstage area with Todd Gresham with a microphone and standing beside him the European Champion John Morrison. The crowd sends out their love for John with an arousing amount of boos. John has the European Title laying smugly over his right shoulder looking into the camera.
Todd Gresham
Hello everyone I'm Todd Gresham and I am here with the new European Champion, John Morrison. First off John I just want to say congratulations on earning the European Championship, there is no doubt in the past few weeks you have earned that belt. So my first question for you is what are your feelings on the European Championship and management deciding that you have earned the right to have that title?
John Morrison
What are my feelings on the championship. Let me put it this way Todd, I have been saying this all along and that is that gold looks gold on this waist. When I first came here to the WWER I told everyone it won't be long before I have gold and well look where we are. I'll give management some credit, at least they opened their eyes long enough to know who deserves to hold this title. But don't think that just because I have the European title that I'm going to stop, my quest is for the World Championship.
Todd Gresham
Speaking of the World Championship, with your wins over the previous weeks you have been entered in the Royal Rumble and if you can win the rumble then you will get a chance to go to Wrestlemania for the championship. What do you think your chances are of winning the Royal Rumble and if so do you have any idea to which title you want to go for?
John Morrison
Well Todd, my odds of winning the Royal Rumble are like that of me having a date every night of the week. Unlike you who is lucky to get a date period. And no Todd your mother, sister, and cousins don't count. The fact is this Todd; I have been saying this since I have been in the WWER, I am the best new generation superstar the WWER has. When you look at who is in the Royal Rumble you see a bunch of no talent wanna bes or either you see washed up has beens who need to leave and not come back, and then there is me, the best superstar in the WWER period. As far as which champion would I challenge, that you will just have to find out when the time comes.
Todd Gresham
John, there have been rumors going around about you and Lacey, is there any truth to the rumor that you and Lacey are dating? The hole WWER universe wants to know what is up between you two? Every time we see you or Lacey with see the other. So what is going on?
John Morrison
Whoa there Todd, let me stop you right there. I don't know who is spreading rumors and I don't honestly care. And not that this is yours or anyone else's business here in the WWER or as you put it the WWER universe, but we are not dating. What Lacey and I have is purely business. We have a mutual respect and similar goals. She is helping me further my career and I'm helping her, well in ways you don't need to know.
John takes the microphone from Todd with force and pushes him out of the camera shot. John then stands in front of the camera and gives a smug smile before he continues talking. He grips the microphone in his hand tight and adjust the the title on his shoulder.
John Morrison
Now I have to other things I want to say and I don't need you for that so just hand me the microphone and get out the way so that the camera can get a good shot at my beautiful face while I talk. First off, Ted DiBiase Jr., you and I have a score to settle. You are going to find out why I am the European Champion, the future winner of the Royal Rumble, and come Wrestlemania, future World Champion. And that reason is very simple, I am the best, and you, well you just some second generation wanna be wrestler who got into the business because of your dad. When we get our match I'm going to everyone why you need to be sent back to minor leagues.
Secondly, to everyone in the Rumble, just know this; that tonight is my night.Tonight John Morrison will win the Royal Rumble and go on to Wrestlemania. I will do what ever it takes to win this match and I do mean anything. So bring your best game but in the end know that it won't be good enough when it comes to facing me. You can go ahead and put in the books that John Morrison is the winner of the 2009 WWER Royal Rumble and go ahead and book me for the main event at Wrestlemania because there are very few at this moment willing to put a best against that. Oh, and the lest thing I have to say.....Be Jealous!
The scene fades to black with John Morrison holding up the title above his head posing for the camera.
Scene 2: Lacey talks to John
It's been a long night so far at the rumble and many matches have already ended. In just a few short moments the Royal Rumble will begin and we will know who has punched their ticket to Wrestlemania. In the back Lacey sits down in her locker room with John for awhile in meditation. Lacey takes a deep breath before looking at John who is on the floor in a meditating stance. He seems to be in deep meditation but she knows that she is about to have to beak this silence so she can give him a pre match talk. Lacey lightly taps John on the shoulder letting him know that she needs to talk to him. John opens his eyes and takes a deep breath and exhales before standing up and stretching and sitting down on a couch in the locker room.
Lacey
Ok John, looks like we are just a few minutes away before the match begins. I'm sorry I had to break you from your meditation but I wanted to talk with you and make sure that you are both mentally and physically ready for this match. You have done great from these previous weeks. I promised you when we first talked that I would take you to the top and so far I have already led you to one piece of gold. Now what you are in the Rumble you are also a odds on favorite considering your wins in the past few weeks. So do you think that you are ready, because this is not going to be like those single matches you had; there are going to be many more people and they will be aiming to hurt you and more than likely they will be going after you.
John Morrison
Don't worry Lacey. I am the best out there and you know it. I am going to win this and get that shot at Wrestlemania. And when I win that means I will face MsChif. We both know you still have a score to settle with MsChif just by looking at your arm. So I was actually going to ask if you wanted to be at ring side at Wrestlemania when I face her after I win the rumble tonight. I want you to be there first hand when I take that World Title from her and then you can do what ever it is that you want with her.
Lacey
John......as good as an idea that is I should slap you right now. I know you are great talent and you know that, that is why I hired you to work with me. But do not get over confident in this match. That reason alone will be your down fall. What I need you to do right now is focus on tonight, focus on this match. We know that Teddy is going to be the number two entrant so we shouldn't count on him making to the end of the match. With you we don't know what number you are but we know that you aren't one or two and that is a good thing. The best we can hope for is that you are a much later number so that it won't as bad. If you come in fresh while everyone else is worn out then you have a much better chance of winning. But you do not need to be worrying about Wrestlemania right now. Do you understand me?
John Morrison
Uh...yeah. I understand you. I'm sorry, you are right. I need to stayed focused on the match at hand. Even if they are no talented people they can gang up on someone and get them out. My best bet in this is to get the late number like you said and try to stay low key for as long as I can and not really try to gain to much attention. I think you're right on the Teddy thing, being number two he won't be there by the time I get in, and even if he is he won't be of much use by then. He will be worn down and unable to keep going more than likely. This is his first rumble. So if push comes to shove do you think I should just go ahead and eliminate him or try to keep him in as long as I can then wait till later and we go at it.
Lacey
Well I think our best bet would be to save him if you can. Because like you said he will be weaker as the match goes on. If you can keep him later on in the match especially to the end then it would be an easy win. I hate to say that about Teddy, he is a great talent just like you, but the fact would be that by that point there would just be no way to win unless it were by a fluke. Now you know that Ted DiBiase will be there to and I know you two have a little scuffle going on. I really wish you would have confronted me about that before you went out there and challenged them. But depending on which one of you is in the ring first will be a big impact on what happens. Lets just hope you come in after him. We don't need him coming in fresh and taking advantage of you.
John Morrison
Yeah, that is a great plan, and that is why you are my manager. If I can manage that scenario then that is what I will do. As far as Ted goes, I do welcome him to try me.Not that I'm trying to be over confident but I just want to give him a preivew of what is going to happen to him when I get my chance at facing him. Tonight is going to be my night. I am going to win this Royal Rumble no matter what it takes. I know I'm the best. Now I'm going to go out there and prove just why I am the best in the business today.
