Teddy Hart 06-03-2013

The plane landed in the airport and as Kristen and Teddy stepped outside the fresh air immediately caught them. The couple looked at each other and smiled knowing they were finally back home in Calgary for Raw this week. Despite what happened last week Teddy was still in good spirits. The weight of his pocket was still there with the familiar box holding the ring. Teddy grabbed the hand of Kristen as they headed inside to grab their bags then meet TJ and Natalya at the front gate to ride back to their house. It had been quite awhile since they had been home and it was coming close to their anniversary as well. Teddy and Kristen reached the baggage claim area and waited for their bags to come around. Teddy Hart ~ It feels so good to finally be back home. It feels like we haven’t been here in over a year. Kristen Mellissa ~ I know! I am so excited to get to see everyone. Nattie and I have an entire day planned for just us girls. I am sure you, TJ, and David have something planned as well. I just hope this time around we won’t have to come pick you up out of jail. Teddy Hart ~ Hey, the last time was not my fault. That was all David. It was his idea to use that parked police car as a sled ramp. It sounded like a fun idea at the time. You would think that cop would have had a better since of humor than that. Kristen Mellissa ~ Uh huh, the way I see it you are just as guilty. You didn’t bother to talk him out of it, and as I recall you were the first one on the sled. I see you smiling over there, don’t think that cute smile is going to get you out of anything. I mean it Teddy, no getting in trouble this time around. You have your career to think about as well now. Teddy Hart ~ Okay I promise that I will keep a check on what we do. I hope that you and I will get to spend some alone time as well though. I love seeing the family and such, but now that we are home I’m looking forward to spending a night with just you and I in our own bed. Kristen Mellissa ~ I’m sure that can be arranged. Perhaps even tonight if you are lucky. Teddy Hart ~ If I am lucky huh? … Before Teddy could say anymore their baggage was rolling around on the conveyer belt. Teddy grabbed the bags and set them on the floor. They drew up the handles from the bag and headed toward the front gate where they saw TJ and Nattie standing near the doors waiting for them to arrive. When they spotted the couple TJ and Nattie both began to wave and Teddy and Kristen returned the waves as well. Hugs went all around as everyone said hello. The drive back to the house went by fairly quickly. On the way to the house TJ had to cross the old family Hart home. As Teddy was looking out the mirror the memory of his first meeting with Kristen jumped into his mind. Reality seemed to fade and give away to that day in his mind. He could see everything clearly as though it were happening right now in this moment. The sun was out, but the day was cold being in the middle of the winter months. The season called for warm clothing as the cold breezes that would pass by would still cause you to shiver. Teddy was making his annual drive to the old Hart family house to look at the property and remember the good days of being a kid. Teddy parked the car on the opposite side of the road and warmed up for a few minutes before getting out. He opened his door and stepped outside the car. He was wearing a leather Hart Foundation jacket, a long sleeve tee-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, sneakers, and an old stocking cap with the Hart logo on the front. Teddy closed the door behind him, and walked to the other side of the car leaning back against the hood almost in a sitting position to get a great view of the old house. The new owner was taking care of the house very well, that wasn’t hard to tell since even in the midst of winter the grass was still green, but it was still too early for the snow yet which would make the property look even more beautiful. Teddy looked up at house; floods of memories of being a kid came back to his mind at once causing a slight tear to come down his eyes. He whipped away the tear just before a second car was pulling in behind him and parked. Teddy was a little miffed as to why someone was parking behind him. He had been doing this for many years, and even the owner knew he made the trip to do so, and no one ever bothered him. He looked over at the car but wasn’t able to tell who was inside yet and was waiting to see who would step out, hoping it wasn’t a fan wanting an autograph. A beautiful blond woman stepped out of the car. She was wearing a pair of sneakers, blue jeans, a big fluffy white coat, which covered a white long sleeve sweater, and a white stocking cap. It was in that moment when Teddy first saw Kristen stepping out of the car he felt his world change. He looked into her dark blue eyes and knew that in that moment, he was going to do whatever it would take to make this girl his for the rest of his life. He was frozen in place unable to move or say a word to the girl. Meanwhile, Kristen had noticed Teddy before she stepped out of the car. At first glance, she thought it was a guy who was stranded on the side of the road. She figured she would at least see if he needed her to call him some help. As she got closer she noticed the guy whipping a tear from his eyes, this caused Kristen to look where the guy had been looking and noticed it was the old Hart family house. Kristen had one more look as she was coming closer and noticed that the man standing on the road looked like Teddy Hart. While he wasn’t famous among the Hart family standards, he was famous for his many bad relationships with wrestling companies. Still, something told Kristen to pull over to the side of the road and see what Teddy was doing here looking at the old house. If anything, she knew it would just be an interesting conversation knowing Teddy. Now, here she was standing outside of the car noticing Teddy looking at her intently, not knowing who she was. She too, looked back at Teddy, but didn’t see this tough guy she had heard about from all her friends. She didn’t want to admit it to herself, but he did look cute too. She made her way from the car toward Teddy who still hadn’t made a move or said a word. Teddy finally found movement in his body enough to turn and face Kristen as she made her way closer to Teddy. He had not however found his voice yet to say anything to her, especially after Kristen had starting smiling as she walked closer. The two were finally face to face, their eyes meeting and not looking away. It seemed like an eternity between the two standing there in that one moment of time, not saying a word, but speaking in volumes through their eyes. Kristen could tell that Teddy was nervous around her, but she felt the same too, a nervousness about the situation, though, in a good way. The feeling they were both having run through their system was more than any words could describe aloud. Teddy took a deep breath, braced himself, and prepared to try and something to the woman who was now standing before him, waiting on him to say something. He opened his mouth slightly and closed it again realizing she is the only woman who ever had him at lost for words. He took one last breath, and tried to speak again. Teddy Hart ~ Hi. I’m…uh…Teddy Hart. Kristen Mellissa ~ I know who you are silly. You are the infamous, controversial, at times hardheaded member of the Hart family. You are a guy who is known as a black sheep in the wrestling community because of his attitude. You are also known to be outspoken about your feelings on anything and everything. I suppose you are wondering who I am though. My name is Kristen Mellissa. Teddy woke from the daydream when Kristen placed a hand on his shoulder. She had noticed that he seemed far away during the drive but decided not to push him knowing that passing the old house always brought back memories. Teddy turned and smiled as they entered the driveway. When the car was put in park they all exited the car then headed inside the house to chat. The two couples sat on the couch and talked for what seemed like hours and hours. In fact they had talked for a long time. It was after dinner the sun was setting when TJ and Nattie finally got up to leave for the night. After everyone said their goodnights and goodbyes Kristen and Teddy began to get ready for bed. Kristen Mellissa ~ So are you feeling better now? You seemed really distracted when we on our way here. I know seeing this house must bring back memories of your childhood and your brother. I just didn’t want to say anything until we were alone and way from TJ and Nattie. I wasn’t sure if the noticed that you weren’t quite there. Teddy was caught off guard by the question and statement by Kristen. It wasn’t the first time though that he was caught off guard by her bluntness. It was a reoccurring theme ever since the first day they met. Teddy seemed to slip back into that same dream state going back to that first day when they met. Teddy felt his heart start to sink some as Kristen began to describe what just about everyone who knew him said about him. The thought that getting this girl who had just walked into his life and stole his heart was starting to look harder after every word she spoke. Normally this was the indication to Teddy there was no point in trying to make a move, but she was different and he was determined to at least try. Her speech gave Teddy a little more confidence and his voice back. Teddy Hart ~ Well it seems you know a lot about me, or you know what people say about me, I should say. The question is, who are you? And, what are you doing here? Kristen let a smile slide across her face. She knew that bringing up the apparent life of Teddy Hart would allow him to gain his voice. Now she would be able to really talk with Teddy and find out about who he really was. Kristen Mellissa ~ Let’s start off to why I am here. I saw a guy standing on the side of the road and wasn’t sure if his car had broken down or if you were a crazy guy wanting to kill someone who stopped. But as I got closer I noticed it was you, so while you aren’t a guy who was just waiting for some unsuspecting passerby, I figured it was still semi-safe to stop and see why you standing out here in the cold. Now, about whom I am. I already told you my name, so, we can skip that part. The reason I know so much about you, isn’t because I am one of your fan girls, if fact, far from that. I am a wrestler and manager and have been in the business for a little while now. Does that suffice as answers enough? Kristen again flashed a smile toward Teddy who was beginning to scratch the surface of her personality. This girl has a little bit of attitude to go with her looks was the thought going through Teddy’s mind as he was listening intently to what Kristen was having to say. Teddy Hart ~ Did I sense a little bit of sarcasm in your voice? Anyway, I think I’m going to ignore the comment about me being semi-safe because what you said next is more intriguing. Why are you in the wrestling business? Kristen Mellissa ~ Hmm…you know, I would love to answer your question, but before I do, if I do, why don’t you tell me why we are standing out here looking at your grandfather’s house? Teddy took a moment after that to look back up at the house. When Kristen stepped out of her car she demanded the attention of Teddy which took way from the reason why he was there in the first place. Teddy took a short deep breath before looking back over at Kristen who’s smile had disappeared after seeing Teddy’s reaction when he looked back at the house. It seemed like time was standing still for Teddy when he was thinking back to that day. Only when he heard Kristen’s voice did he realize that it was just a dream. He shook his head and looked over at Kristen with a smile on his face. Teddy Hart ~ Yeah, I’m much better. I’m sorry if I was distracted though. You will have my full attention for the rest of the night, I promise. Teddy and Kristen finished getting ready for bed and slipped under the covers. The two made love and eventually fell asleep. Teddy wrapped his arms around Kristen as they were both laying on their sides. As Teddy fell asleep he began to dream, going back to where he left off in his day dream from before. Teddy Hart ~ I come out here once year around the holidays. I like to look out in the yard and at the house to remember the days when I was kid. I have so many memories of this place. This is where I learned about wrestling, what wrestling was all about. This is where my brother and I… Teddy stopped talking for a moment. His eyes went from Kristen’s to ground fighting from letting the tears escape his eyes. Talking about his brother wasn’t something he did much with anyone. As hard as he tried though, he could fight back all the tears. Teddy Hart ~ This is where my brother…my brother and I learned how to wrestle before…he died. He had a flesh eating disease. It all happened so fast. It was as if one day we were just there in the front yard practicing wrestling moves, then the next he was gone. This house, this place, just helps to remind me of the good times I had in my life with my brother and with my family. Teddy took a few shaky breaths trying to calm himself down and stop the tears there were falling from his face. Here was a beautiful girl he wanted to get to know more and he was crying, telling her about his dead brother. Kristen on the other hand was beginning to see the real Teddy Hart standing here in front of her, and not the Teddy Hart people liked to think they knew. She wasn’t sure if she should, but she placed a hand on his shoulder. Kristen Mellissa ~ Teddy…I’m sorry, I didn’t know. I think I understand why you come out here now though. I can’t say I know how you feel, I haven’t ever lost a brother or sister to something like that, but I see your hurt and the connection you have with this house. Teddy Hart ~ Thanks, I’m sorry I just unloaded that on you. It’s not something I normally talk about with people. I guess just being here though, brought up those emotions a little easier. I find you to be someone I can talk to openly as well, because you aren’t asking anything of me or judging me. But, before I start rambling on and talking about something else that will make me cry, why don’t we go back to the question I had asked you before. What are you doing in the wrestling business? Kristen Mellissa ~ I grew up watching wrestling. I just knew it was something I wanted to do. So I went through school, did some time in college while working the indy’s and learning the ropes. Eventually I found I like being more of a manager than a wrestler and have been doing that since. I don’t mind talking with you, but it really is cold out here. What do you say we go some place a little warmer and continue this conversation? Unless you want to stay here and look at the green grass grow some more. Teddy couldn’t help be chuckle a little at the comment by Kristen. He shook his head some and looked back up to Kristen who had a smile on her face which wouldn’t mind seeing again and again every day for the rest of his life. Teddy Hart ~ I don’t think I mind going somewhere a little warmer. This place will be here whenever I want to come back, but you, I don’t know when I will be able to see you again. Kristen’s smile got a little wider. She wasn’t sure what was going on between her and Teddy, but she wanted to find out what is was. Teddy was feeling the exact same way, and was determined to talk with Kristen as long as he could. The two got into their cars and went to find a place a warmer to have a conversation. Teddy woke up and looked and Kristen who was lying beside him. A smile came over his face as he realized finally exactly how he wanted to ask Kristen to marry him and where he wanted to ask her. Teddy leaned over and gently kissed Kristen on the forehead not wanting to wake her up just yet. The day was finally drawing near and all his joy and excitement was coming back to his heart. Teddy was ready to make the biggest commitment of his life; this would be his hardest match to date. He lay back down beside Kristen letting his arm wrap around her and holding her close to him.
