Scene 1: Incoming Call The world is full of surprises, ups, and downs. You never really know what life is going to throw at you, all you can do is be prepared for the worst and the best and everything in between. I took a leap of faith last week when I decided to come over to ECW:R. I didn’t know if it would be a one week thing or if it could be the start of a new career. Luckily for me, it all turned out well. Not only did I go to the unknown, but also I won, and now I’m in a match that could catapult me into the World Title picture. Funny how life has it’s way of working out all the bad with some good. The clouds were dark outside in the sky. It was definitely going to rain at some point today. The impending weather didn’t do much to impede the flow of traffic of people going back and forth on the street however. Colby Lopex was looking over the busy sidewalk from his hotel room as he stretched out from waking up. His hair was a mess, it was obviously pillow hair, and he wore a pair of basketball shorts. His phone interrupted him mid-stretch with a loud ringtone. He was deciding if he wanted to let it go to voice mail so he could listen to the song or if he wanted to answer the phone. When he looked at the caller Id it was an instant decision to answer the phone. He picked it up, pressed the little green phone button on the call, and held the phone up to his ear. Colby Lopex: “Hey there beautiful. I was just getting to call you soon. You must have been reading my mind.” Leighla Schultz: “Hey there yourself. I’m sure you were getting ready to call me. If I know you, you were just waking up and it would have been quite awhile before you got through your routine to call me. Just in case you hadn’t woke up though, I figured I’d give you a call and wake you up, plus I figured hearing my voice would help make your day better. Colby Lopex: “Hahaha, that is why I love you. You know me so well. I am glad you called. I miss not being there with you. I’m looking forward to you coming up and visiting. I’m not sure if I am going to be able to let you go though. Leighla Schultz: “I’m not sure I’m looking forward to coming all the way up there when it is so beautiful here with the sun and the beaches. I like getting my tan. I might actually have to wear normal clothing there.” Colby Lopex: “Ha, Well, that depends on what we are doing when you are here. Maybe you won’t have to wear that much clothing.” Leighla Schultz: “COLBY LOPEX! Get your mind out of the gutter!” Colby Lopex: “Hahahaha! It’s not my fault. It’s a side effect from being away from you for so long. That will all be solved soon enough. So now that you got me all awake, what you going to be doing today?” Leighla Schultz: “Oh you know, the usual, I’m going to head down to the beach with a book and do some tanning and some reading. Then tomorrow I have to head back to reality and head back to work, so I figure I might as well make the best of the day off since you aren’t here with me.” Colby Lopex: “Well that does sound exciting. I was looking forward to taking a tour around the city today but with all this lousy weather I’m not sure if that is the best idea. I might just head to the gym and get a good workout in and then head back here to the hotel. Tomorrow night will be my second match. I’m kind of bummed that you won’t be able to watch the match.” Leighla Schultz: “You know I wouldn’t watch if I could. I don’t want to watch and see you get hurt. You know what that does to me. You are just lucky that I love you enough that when I am there I will be at the show. I’m still not sure if I will be able to watch. Colby Lopex: “I’ll just be glad you are here. I guess I should let you go though so you can get to that tanning huh. I need to grab a shower and get ready for the gym. I’ll make sure to call you later today though. I hope you have a good day hun. I love you. Leighla Schultz: “I love you too! Don’t work too hard at the gym. Save your strength for tomorrow night! I will be looking forward to call later. If you don’t you are going to be in major trouble mister! Love you! Bye! The smile was genuine on the face of Colby. He couldn’t even stop smiling if he wanted to at that moment. Nothing made him feel better than talking to Leighla. She was the reason he woke up every morning and did what he did. He wanted to make a good life for them and he knew he had to succeed to that. With that notion in his head Colby put the phone back down the table and started to get ready for the day ahead. Scene 2: King of Extreme 2 Flesh It Out by Blues Saraceno played over the speakers in the Asylum Arena bringing the crowd to their feet. Seth Rollins stepped through the curtain and onto the ramp. He looked out over the crowd as they were all screaming his name. Rollins had a smile on his face at the reaction of the crowd not expecting such a warm welcome. He had his hair pulled into a pony tail, wearing a black t-shirt, faded blue jeans, and black sneakers. He walked down the ramp and to the ring where he picked up a microphone and stood in the middle of the ring as his music faded and the fan noise began to die down. Seth Rollins: “Oh what a wonderful day it is in the land of extreme! You should all be bowing down since the King of Extreme is gracing you with his presence! Last week was just the beginning of my reign and this week my quest continues. You see, how could I have not been put into a match for an opportunity at the ECW:R Championship. I don’t mind going to the ring and showing all you impotents why I am the King of Extreme, but the fact is that management should just hand me the title right now because in the end it will be my hand that is raised in victory!” Before he could speak once more an astounding amount of boos came flowing from the crowd at hand. Seth looked more amused more than annoyed at the crowd and decided to indulge them and let them say what they wanted to say. When the crowd noticed that Seth was wasn’t reacting to their opinion the chants began to die down. Seth Rollins: “Why should I expect anything different from your peons here in the Asylum. You have no respect for me and for yourselves. I mean look at you there in the front row. When was the last time you had a shower? And you over there, when was the last time you got on a treadmill. If you think you can handle me then come on in this ring and let’s see what you’ve got. Until then, keep your mouths shut and let the King do the talking. Tonight I have Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin, a has been and a never will be. You see Rob, you are way past your prime, and I have seen you in the ring, you can barely get around. You think you could handle someone like me who is fresh and at the top of his game. Tonight when I am in this ring I expect you to bow down to me and maybe I will show you’re a little mercy and not end your career.” The crowd once again began the chat “Rollins sucks!” but there were cut off this time by Seth pretty quickly making them quiet down once again. Seth Rollins: “I told you to shut the Hell up and listen when I’m speaking! I’m not done yet and I refuse to be interrupted constantly by a crowd whose intelligence level is less than that of a first grader! So sit back down, shut your mouths, and listen to what I am saying…Now where was I? Oh that’s right, Shelton Benjamin, the so called “Gold Standard” in professional wrestling. Shelton, tonight I will make you an offer and it will only be good until our match starts. Join me, be a part of my Kingdom. Do the right thing tonight and just lay down so that I can take my rightful place in the main event for the ECW:R Championship match. Remember Shelton, this offer will only last until the match starts, then I’ll have show the world why you should have accepted my offer. I have one last thing to say before I go. I have a decree to everyone in the back. So open up your ears and listen well. There is a new dawn rising. A new Kingdom will take power! The King of Extreme will lead this Kingdom and there is nothing and no one who can stop it from happening. Either you can be with the Kingdom or you will fall under its rule! The time to make decisions is now! Tick tock…tick tock…tick tock… Flesh It Out begins to play over the speakers once more, as the fans don’t waste their time to begin booing and chanting “Rollins Sucks!” Seth Rollins dropped the microphone to the mat. As the camera zoomed in on his face, a half smile appeared across his face that seemed almost sadistic. He stood there for a moment soaking up the reaction from the crowd before turning and leaving the ring laughing all the way up the ramp and to the back.
